ABOUT
The Auditchain Suite is a cloud-based application programming interface (API) and graphical user interface (GUI) which offers unprecedented opportunities for automating tasks and processes related to accounting, reporting, auditing, and analysis. The Suite is specifically tuned for financial information but also offers capabilities related to nonfinancial information.
Using the Auditchain Suite API with the good/best practices based Seattle Method, enterprises can reliably and effectively stream a high-quality machine-readable XBRL-based global standard knowledge graph of a complete, consistent, and provably correct general purpose financial statement. Further, an entire record-to-report process can be automated effectively. This proven, tested method is built into the foundation of the Auditchain Suite and provides both the flexibility and the control necessary to do this effectively.
Current components of the Auditchain Suite include:
- Pacioli is a cloud-based API and GUI which is a logic/reasoning/rules/knowledge/insights engine that is specifically tuned for working with financial information and working with XBRL-based financial reports. The Pacioli logic and reasoning engine is available to other components of the Auditchain suite as a web service.
- Luca is a cloud-based API and GUI for creating machine-readable XBRL-based digital financial reports and/or converting such reports to HTML, PDF, Word, or some other human-readable format. Luca leverages Pacioli for verifying that the XBRL technical syntax and that the accounting logic of the report is as would be expected. Luca provides different levels of GUI functionality based on the license which a user purchases. Some functions are free, some require a small fee, and other commercial quality functionality requires larger fees. The value exchange method for the Auditchain Suite is the AUDT token. Other payment methods are accepted also. One example of platform extensibility is the handcrafted machine readable accounting rules created and curated by accountants, represented using the global standard XBRL, instantiated as Process Control NFTs, and leveraged by software applications that operate within the ecosystem such as the Pacioli logic engine and Luca expert system for creating financial reports.
- Areport is a system for creating XBRL-based financial reports using the Data Point Model (DPM).
- Auditchain Protocol offers a pure Web3 version of specific components of the Auditchain Suite within a decentralized ecosystem.
- Auditchain Explorer is a Web3 based mechanism for working with digital financial reports that operates within the decentralized ecosystem. Multilingual capabilities which allows the Auditchain Suite to be localized into the user’s preferred language.
- Auditchain Repository is a service that provides the capability to publish machine-readable XBRL-based reports on the internet where they can be accessed by computer based processes.
Those components are only the beginning. The Auditchain Suite offers a platform where other third party software vendors can plug into and leverage all of the above capabilities and extend those capabilities even further.
About Luca Pacioli:
Fra Luca Bartolomeo de Pacioli (sometimes Paccioli or Paciolo; c. 1447 – 19 June 1517) was an Italian mathematician, Franciscan friar, collaborator with Leonardo da Vinci, and an early contributor to the field now known as accounting. He is referred to as "The Father of Accounting and Bookkeeping" in Europe and he was the first person to publish a work on the double-entry system of book-keeping on the continent. That system, commonly known as the Venetian Method, enabled global commerce and the multinational corporation to exist.
